Art Basel Miami is Coming – What You Need To Know
This December, one of the trendiest art exhibits is coming to Miami, showcasing galleries worth all the rage by contemporary and modern artists across continents. So are you ready for Art Basel Miami? Here, we go over all the details you need to know to prepare for this coveted event.
The What – Art Basel Miami is a contemporary and modern art exhibit near Miami Beach annually. The event features 282 art galleries from internationally known and emerging artists, sectioned off into a few themes: Meridians, Surveys, Positions, Nova, Edition, and Kabinett. In order, these refer to large works, historical works, works by young and upcoming artists, prints, and gallery-curated selections. Also, Conversations is a free program that will be offered, bringing in leading art figures from around the world to discuss the contemporary art landscape. Aside from this, Art Week Miami is taking place at the same time around the city, which visitors to Art Basel can check out, too. Over 60 events and exhibitions will be offered from November 27th – December 6th.

General Information – Admission for one person for one day $70. The event is free for children aged 12 and under when accompanied by an adult, and there are reduced-price tickets for students and seniors. The event is also really big, but no worries. Upon arrival, valet parking is offered at the Miami Beach Convention Center and public parking, parking garages, and street parking are plentiful around the area. You can also take advantage of the Miami Beach free trolley service and other forms of public transportation like the Metromover, Metrorail, and Metrobus.
If you plan to visit Art Basel, it may be tough to get work done around the hub of the convention, and you’ll need a space where you can work or meet up with co-workers during the event.
