An Artists Guide To Getting Started With NFTs

What Are NFTs?

Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs) are a perfect balance of investment, metaverse, art, and innovation. NFTs are a type of digital contract and receipt all in one. When a purchase is made on a digital piece of art, a real-world object, or a combination of both– it can be tied to an NFT. An NFT will then be transferred in the process of the purchase. Each transaction is automatically recorded, preventing counterfeits. It also records and keeps previous owners' data to validate the authenticity and add value.

How Does This Help Me As An Artist?

We are transitioning to an age when artists can self-publish and manage their own projects and work. Whether you are a musical artist, paint, design or create a variety of media you can tie what you have to offer to an NFT to build value.

Imagine releasing your first song and tying the audio file to 1,000 NFTs– each one containing a ticket to your first concert at a location only known to those with ownership of that NFT.

Or, perhaps, selling your digital art. Each piece of art carefully coded within an NFT, and only those who purchase certain pieces of your art gain access to your real-world gallery.

The possibilities are endless… but completely within reach.

Hype It Up!

No matter what kind of artist you are or what your niche is there is one thing you will have to do to succeed. You need to understand how to make hype. Figure out how you, as an artist, can attract attention to your NFTs. Are you popular on certain platforms? Do you have or can you make connections with someone who could promote your work? Can you collaborate with a corporation, artist, or product? The more attention and eyes on your NFTs the more value it will have.
